Of all the guenons in the Limbe Wildlife Centre the preuss’s monkey is the most endangered. The preuss’s monkey has the same limited range as the drill: the western part of Cameroon, the neighbouring part of Nigeria and the island of Bioko. The Mount Cameroon area is very important for it’s survival, but unfortunately hunting pressure is still high. Both in 2007 and in 2008 infants were brought to the LWC, whose parents were killed in the forests just outside Limbe.
