Jumbo was found in a private garden having been abandoned by the person who was illegally trying to sell her. The owner of the garden, Ms Lena Perazzi, took care of her and kindly brought her to LWC. Jumbo is a very intelligent and mischievous gorilla, continually looking for new ways to frustrate the animal keepers. Jumbo likes to put on a show for the visitors, by shaking her arms about (the “Jumbala dance”!) and playing on the water fountain.
