Until the beginning of March 2009, Adjibolo was the youngest gorilla in the Limbe Wildlife Centre. She arrived at the LWC when she was around six months old. A senior civil servant in the Ministry of Agriculture in Batouri, Mr. Adjibolo, had seized the infant gorilla from a hunter who had been trying to sell her. Adjibolo’s family undoubtely had been shot, but at least the infant was safe. The people of Batouri were given a lesson in wildlife protection from a senior government official.
